Afghan Heavily Beaded Mirrored Traditional Dress Bodice
There is so much detail work! Beautifully handmade heavily beaded and mirrored traditional dress bodice, this one is from Mazar-I-Sharif, home of the Blue Mosque. They traditionally come as a long dress with flowing full skirts that are heavy at the hem, perfect for spinning at a mela. This beautiful piece of Afghan history can be worn over another dress, as seen here, or wear it with a fresh white t-shirt and your favorite denim for a modern take on Afghan beauty.
Tie closure at the nape of the neck with a cropped back.
Condition: Minor threads hanging but majority of beads are stable and in tact, minimal beading & metal bell loss. The piece dates from the mid-20th century, we unfortunately don't have an exact date. Vintage clothes comes as-as, please message us if you have any questions.
Size: Fits best on a US size 6, 36" chest.
NOTE: Blue dress does not come with the bodice
