1950s 18K Gold HGE Cubic Zirconia Signet Ring

Gorgeous '50s signet ring with a large cubic zirconia in the center and three small cubic zirconias surrounding it. 

18K gold H.G.E. (heavy gold electroplate) inscribed on the inside of the band with a makers mark by Vargas Manufacturing a Providence, Rhode Island jeweler.

Heavy gold plate signified that the manufacturer used more than the standard amount of gold to plate the jewelry. 

Neither HGE (heavy gold electroplate) or HGP (heavy gold plate) have any legal meaning. They only indicate that the item is gold plated with higher than the standard amount.

Missing one of the four small cubic zirconia's. Back of the band has some chipping.
