1974 Marimekko Anti Navy Rainbow Striped Button Front Maxi Dress
We're sure everyone already knows Marimekko, but in case you didn't...Marimekko Oyj is a Finnish textiles, clothing, and home furnishings company founded by Viljo and Armi Rafia in Helsinki in 1951 (we googled it for you ;).
This specific maxi dress was made in 1974, the print designer is Pentti Rinta and the name of this specific print is called Anti. In the 70s, Pentti’s Marimekko pieces appeared on the pages of Vogue and other magazines around the world.
In amazing condition, however, the dress has been taken out (by a professional), pictured. And there is a very minor stain on the left collar, also pictured. Neither of these condition issues take away from this piece of fashion history.
