1970s Susohiki Kimono in Sunbaked Orange Marigold Leaves
This well preserved susohiki is simply stunning and the silk is heavyweight and supremely cool to the touch. A susohiki is a type of formal dance kimono worn by maiko (apprentice geisha) and geisha that is designed to trail on the ground.
The average height for a woman in Japan is 4'9", so our 5'8" model with two-inch heels doesn't exactly show off how much material would be trailing on the ground. Additionally, the intentional taller than usual staging on the mannequin provides a full view of the length of the susohiki.
Sizing - If you are taller than 5'9" this may be an excellent fit if you haven't been able to find kimonos in the past or if you want to feel timeless and dramatic then this beauty is for you.
Fabric - this heavier feel kimono has a fully lined interior which is smooth and soothing against the skin.
No condition issues.
