Description

Kimono literally means “something that is worn” and there are many types of Japanese kimono for different occasions. Tsukesage is almost the half-sister of the slightly more formal houmongi. They look and are very similar in formality but each is slightly different. Typical of tsukesage is its design on the skirt that stays within the panels with the exception of the okumi on the front and sometimes the side seam.

The tsukesage is fully lined and quite heavy. The gold-painted details on the silk shimmer and the fabric is nearly spotless, faded spot on right breast area. This is completely unnoticeable when wearing the item. No other condition issues.
